I am appalled at ESPN2.
Right now they are broadcasting the "Third Annual Salsa Championships".
Even though Salsa dancing may at times be competitive, it is not a sport and the only true non sport that should be shown on a sports network is the Spelling Bee; they've had it forever and it's a tradition by now.
The only reason this drivel is on ESPN2 is the competition takes place in Disney World.
So now we have yet another example of how corporate consolidation waters down and destroys everything in it's path, including the English language. If we are to have a channel dedicated to sports and it broadcasts a dance competition, the word sport loses it meaning and we all walk backwards a step.
